This mare is well broke, gentle, and easy to handle. Nothing seems to
bother her and she has an easy going attitude. She has a lot of
athletic ability and a good mind. She travels well and is smooth to
ride. She has a really nice stop, a good turn around, and nice lead
changes. She has had 2 years of cutting training, but has never made
it to a show for various reasons.
This mare is really well bred. All but 2 horses on her pedigree have
been shown and have won money or AQHA points. Her sire (Smart Steady
Date) is an NCHA money winner and is a son of Smart Little Lena (the
AQHA All Time Leading Cutting Sire) and is out of a money winning Doc
Bar bred mare (Docs Steady Date). MaryLou's dam (Fairlea Electric Pic)
is also an NCHA money winner by Colonel Pic who is by Colonel Freckles
and a money winning mare (Picinic).
She could easily make it to the show pen in the Non-Pro or Amateur
divisions with just a little tuning up. Or she would make a really
nice rope/barrel prospect as well. And with her pedigree you couldn't
go wrong adding her to your broodmare herd.
