The instant you start doing what you love to do, you’ll find that no matter how much work it is, how difficult it is, how much you have to learn about how to do it better, it’s still easy!
What is hard is failure.
If you are doing something you don’t love to do, no matter how good you are at it, it’s still hard. You hate to get up in the morning and face another day filled with frustration, stress, disappointment and criticism….and that is what you get every time you work at something less than what you love to do.

Changing your life can be done in an instant…it doesn’t even take a second. All you have to do is decide how you are going to change your life.
The instant you make that decision, your life has changed.
No matter what your decision about your life, at that instant, you are living it. Have you decided to be a “reining horse trainer”? If you have, you are.
Changing your life was easy, but when you fail at maintaining that change, it’s hard. What do you know about the conformation of a reining horse? It’s going to be fun and easy to find out. But if you say, “Heck, I don’t need to know that,” then you aren’t maintaining the change in your life, and I guarantee your failures are going to be hard.
You can decide to be the best tack salesperson in the world, but if you don’t maintain a constant study of tack, its uses, its manufacture, its price, its availability, then you are going to know how hard failure can be.
Do all the things you can think of to be the best tack salesperson in the world, and you will be, and your success will be easy. (Doing what you love doing is always easy.)
You’ve got to believe that “innovation” is fun and easy and that you are committed to it.
People are reluctant to innovate. There are all kinds of reasons not to change.
Sure there are failures and flops when you innovate, but nothing new was ever created without a few mistakes along the way.
There’s nothing wrong with mistakes…they are just guidelines to tell you that “it doesn’t work this way.” (Allowing a horse to make mistakes is the best way to show him how you want it done.)
Finally you need to believe that the best time to act on a good or new idea is at the time of its inception.
